Best Dairy Free Hot Cocoa Roundup

As some of you may know, the majority of store bought hot cocoa mix is made with milk chocolate and/or whey powder. As a marshmallow addict, I simply cannot go an entire winter without hot cocoa and mallows. So, I have done the work for y’all.

Most Accessible:

Target Brand Dark Chocolate Mix

Target carries this hot cocoa in the same aisle as the rest of their hot cocoa. It’s decent, it’s cheap, and most people live somewhat close to a Target, so you can’t really go wrong. 

Most Delicious:

Starbucks Double Chocolate Hot Cocoa

This is a great option to keep at home or school. It tastes fabulous with almond milk and even includes a mocha latte recipe on the box. Overall, this is my go-to. 

Most Boujee/Healthy:

Mushroom Hot Cocoa

This is some high end, earthy crunchy hot chocolate. With immune support and other supplements, this hot cocoa is basically like taking your vitamins. A little pricey, yes, but also vegan – if that’s something you’re into. 

As you can probs tell, dark chocolate is the way to go. However, just because you see a dark chocolate mix doesn’t mean you’re good to go. ALWAYS read the ingredients – whey is milk, milk fat is milk, etc. etc.
